Bob Ikel Named WKNAI Chairman and Co-founder

The West Kessler Neighborhood Association is pleased to announce the election of Bob Ikel as Chairman and Co-founder of the West Kessler Native Arbor Initiative.  Mr. Ikel will provide leadership for carrying out the initiative’s mission to make neighborhoods, surrounding West Kessler, more attractive, healthy places to live; particularly in areas where there is little greenery and be committed to protecting the future of our neighborhoods, for our generation and most importantly the generations to come.

Bob has over 40 years of professional architectural, urban planning, real estate development; construction; real estate consulting and brokerage experience including the following services: negotiations; market analysis; highest and best analysis; finance; programming; design; strategic planning; construction management; and, development.

Bob’s experience includes over 12 years in the field of architecture and planning on a national and international level. Architectural achievements include the following: Sesquicentennial Restoration of Fair Park (AIA Statement of Significance); and, Hulan Mall, Fort Worth, Texas (AIA Design Award).

Bob then worked 12 years with CBRE, the largest real estate company in the country, as First Vice President of Corporate Services. Bob established IC3 in 2001. IC3 is dedicated to providing a single point of contact real estate consulting services exclusively for the corporate user. Robert’s achievements in real estate include the following: Two “Best Real Estate Deals” and three finalist selections by the Dallas Business Journal.

Bob received his Bachelors of Architecture in 1975 from the University of Texas at Austin (Magnum Cum Laude) and postgraduate work at Southern Methodist University in real estate finance in 1988. Robert holds licenses in Architecture, Interior Design, and Real Estate Brokerage. Robert is also a founding and charter member of the Preston Center Rotary Club, served on the Tejas Club Foundation, the Dallas Bicycle Advisory Committee and is the Founder of the Bike Friendly North Dallas & West Dallas.
