The Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016  at the base of Reunion Tower in Dallas.  The 2015 Mayor’s Race event was selected by Competitor magazine as the “Best Race for Kids” in the South region of the U.S.!

About the Race This 5K run (3.1 mile) event is for serious runners looking for a good race or casual athletes looking for an interesting walking tour of downtown Dallas. Kids who would find a 5K too much of a challenge can participate in the 1 Mile Fun Run. The Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K, launched in 2003 as a way to encourage school kids to become more physically active, has blossomed into an ideal warm-up event for marathon participants and their families.

Want to find out how you or your company can get involved by helping a local Dallas Independent School District school? Check out our Adopt-A-School program, which helps fund students from a DISD campus to participate in the Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K!

Rules and Time Limit

In accordance with the guidelines issued by USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA, only runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be allowed on the course. The time limit for Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K is 1 hour.

Start Times:

• 1-Mile Fun Run – 9am
• 5K – 9:30am

Packet Pick-up

Packets can be picked up Friday, December 9th at the Health & Fitness Expo (Kay Bailey Hutchison Dallas Convention Center – Hall C 650 S Griffin St, Dallas, TX 75202) from 11am – 7pm.  Race day packet pick-up will also be available starting at 7am.
