West Kessler Fundraising

Well, it’s that time of year again for us to ask for your support in keeping West Kessler one of the most active and organized neighborhood associations in the North Oak Cliff area. Through voluntary, tax-deductible donations, the Association is able to operate a broad array of social and charitable activities.

Your donations help defray the costs of our neighborhood social functions – of which the Summer pool party and Holiday Progressive dinner are just two examples. Donations also enable us to maintain several prominent public areas and to install public holiday decorations such as American Flags for the Fourth of July and Candy Canes for the Christmas Season.

Recently, the Association has established “West Kessler Cares”, our charitable arm that lends support to some of the local charities based here in Oak Cliff, as well as the “West Kessler Native Arbor Initiative” which aims to enhance and beautify the neighborhoods of Oak Cliff through planting native trees on Earth Day.  Both activities have generated much positive feedback and recognition from other neighborhoods and social leaders. We are also proud to announce that we funded a new water fountain that will be installed along the Coomb’s Creek Trail near North Oak Cliff Blvd and Plymouth very soon.

One of the most useful functions of the Association is the annual publication of the complimentary neighborhood directory. If you would like to add or update your information to the next addition of the directory, we encourage you to either complete the data form or visit our page at www.westkessler.org/directory.

If you have already donated this year, we thank you. If not, we hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation. The median household contribution is $75, but any donation amount is greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for helping to make West Kessler a great place to live!
